OER Search Request and Creating OER

OER Search Request

We, the SUNY Canton librarians, are eager to assist faculty members in adopting OER and reduce what our students spend on course materials. If you would like SUNY Canton librarians to perform an OER search for you, please send your friendly librarians the following information:

  • Course(s) that an OER is being considered for
  • Title of the textbook(s) to replace - if possible, please provide ISBN
  • Name of requester
  • Email or contact information

Creating OER

Washington State OER Network: This self-paced course provides 10 modules on how to use OERs. Module topics include the meaning of OER and the concepts of copyright, open licensing, public domain, and much more.
