Resource Sharing

Resource sharing allows you to borrow materials, both physical and digital, from SUNY libraries and other participating libraries.

Note: If an item does not have an option to request through Resource Sharing, please email ill@canton.edu

When searching in the Library Catalog/Databases, if we do not have an item but another SUNY library does, the catalog will prompt you to get the item through Resource Sharing. 

• Start by signing in to My Account on the Library Webpage

• At the top, select New Search and search for the book you are looking for

• If we do not have a copy in our collection, the catalog will prompt you to Request Item from another SUNY Library

• Select Submit at the bottom of the request form

• You will receive an email when the item is available to be picked up from the circulation desk

• At the top, select New Search and search for the journal article, newsletter, etc. that you are looking for

• If we do not have access to it through SUNY Canton databases, the catalog will prompt you to Request Item from another SUNY Library

• Select Submit at the bottom of the request form

• You will receive an email when the item is available and you will be able to access it under the Requests tab under My Account.
