It's important to give credit and cite the sources you used to prepare your paper. When writing about literature, MLA is the preferred citation style.
SLLC's Writing Center has developed a handout on MLA-style citations you can access online.
The Purdue OWL is another helpful free resource to help you create your citations.
Here's a general model for common MLA-style citations:
Book
Last Name, First Name. Title of Book. City of Publication, Publisher, Publication Date.
Journal Article
Author(s). "Title of Article." Title of Journal, Volume, Issue, Year, pages.
Remember, you can also use SLLC databases to help you generate your citations!
