International Day of Forests is March 21. Did you know that there is an abundance of paper waste created every day across campus? The SLLC Engagement and Outreach Committee will be hosting an information booth on March 19th from 11am to 2pm where students, faculty, and staff can all try to guess the amount of paper waste collected in SLLC in just a single month! Join us in discovering how we can reduce our waste and keep our trees safe for what they do best: sustaining diverse and stable ecosystems around the world.
On-Campus Tutoring: The Betty J. Evans Tutoring Center will be closed Sunday, March 8-Saturday, March 15. Regular hours will resume on Sunday, March 16.
Online Tutoring: Online tutoring will be available through ThinkingStorm and STAR-NY.

As a student at SUNY Canton, you have free access to ThinkingStorm’s online tutoring services. This online tutoring service is available 24/7/365 and connects you with a professional tutor. Simply log in to Blackboard using your SUNY Canton net ID and login credentials to access ThinkingStorm’s tutoring platform. Once logged in, navigate to one of your courses and use the left sidebar to access the “Tools” page. Next, scroll down and click the “ThinkingStorm” icon on the lower right column to be directed to the main page to connect to live tutoring or schedule an appointment if a tutor is not available for your desired subject. Course content areas include: Math, Science, Writing, Business, Nursing, and Design Software. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
This Lab offers tutoring in a wide variety of courses related to math, science, engineering, technology, Vet. Science, Nursing, and Physical Therapy. The STEM Lab combines the services of our previous Math & Science Lab and Engineering Lab into a one-stop for students. Our services include walk-in tutoring, group study spaces, textbook loans, and access to educational resources such as A & P models, handouts, etc.
STAR-NY will be open for the spring semester starting February 2, 2020 through May 7, 2020.
