Access to millions of resources

As part of our goal to provide the best possible resources to our students, faculty, and staff, Southworth Library Learning Commons strives to provide access to resources which we cannot always provide physically in the library.  Two examples of services available to students, faculty, and staff are electronic books and Interlibrary Loan.

Electronic books, or eBooks, are full-text books, available to SUNY Canton students, faculty, and staff from anywhere: on campus, off campus, and even on mobile devices.  Southworth Library Learning Commons provides access to hundreds of thousands of eBooks through our discovery service, Roogle, as well as access to hundreds of popular books through our Overdrive platform. Please see a librarian if you have questions about using eBooks.

Interlibrary Loan:

When a member of the SUNY Canton community wishes to borrow library materials not owned by the Southworth Library Learning Commons, they are encouraged to place an "Interlibrary Loan" request. The library's Interlibrary Loan (ILL) department borrows library materials, on the behalf of its patrons, from thousands of other libraries in the continental United States.  Click here to learn more about Interlibrary Loan.
